"Pati devta ka roop hota hai" said the autowallah while I was on a ride in his auto, returning from Sarojini Nagar after some light shopping with my two friends.
He charged us 60 rupees for the ride but, trust me, that amount was nothing equivalent to the rubbish he coughed up during the near half an hour ride which screamed sexism.
He was referring to an incident happened with another autowallah, whose wife smashed his head with a stone. Our autowallah was protesting that how women should stay in their limits and listen to their men,no matter what the men do or say.
He kept on talking all by himself while we three educated girls stayed mum without giving him a befitting answer. After reaching my destination, I wondered why is that all the three of us haven't said a single word despite this illiterate man making degrading remarks about girls? The answer is "We" stay in our limits.
